Adobe Commerce Architect / Web Developer

“We’re no strangers to failure. What makes this the City of Progress is that we keep trying until we get it right.”

Jayce, Arcane
  • Experience: 16+ years in web development
  • City: Ratingen, Germany
  • Degree: Master of Science
  • Focus: Adobe Commerce / eCommerce

Born in Ukraine, I discovered my passion for IT at a young age. My first venture into web development came in high school, where I built a website for my final exam. The site’s image galleries overloaded the school PCs — an early lesson in optimization, performance, and testing that continues to guide my work today. While my university studies and early career initially diverged from web development, I eventually found my way back to the field I love. Today, I thrive on solving complex problems and building innovative web solutions, driven by passion and curiosity rather than just financial incentives. Lately, I have also been expanding into workflow automation and AI-assisted integrations, bringing modern tooling into classic eCommerce projects.

There is no ceiling to mastery — I treat every project as a chance to learn something new. Here are the technologies and practices I work with most.

Certification

Each of these certificates has its own story and is valuable to me.

Adobe Certified Master - Adobe Commerce Architect (Adobe Commerce)

The most challenging one. I originally prepared for the previous Master Architect exam (AD0-E704), but it was retired and replaced by AD0-E718 — a test that pushes you to reason about the right solution rather than memorize code and specifications. I came up short on my first attempt, prepared properly, and passed the second one.

Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Commerce Developer (Adobe Commerce)

AD0-E716 Adobe Commerce Developer Expert is a must-have for any serious Adobe Commerce developer — it validates your skills and knowledge. I passed it on the first attempt without specific preparation, comfortably above the required score.

Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Commerce Front End Developer (Adobe Commerce)

This one came unexpectedly. Adobe invited me to a workshop developing new certification questions, where I helped validate questions and authored two new ones related to Adobe Commerce Cloud. The participation renewed my expiring certification, confirmed my front-end skills, and introduced me to some great people.

Adobe Certified Professional - Adobe Commerce Developer (Adobe Commerce)

My first certification, earned when I focused on Magento development — originally as Magento 2 Certified Associate Developer, later migrated and renewed under the Adobe Certified Professional title. It is the entry-level exam, but being my first makes it no less valuable: it marked the start of the journey.

ASM-E720 Adobe Commerce Front End Developer Expert (Adobe Commerce)

Not a classic certification — no exam required. This badge from Adobe recognizes my contribution as a subject matter expert to developing new certification questions, and it is listed among my active certifications on Adobe CertMetrics.

Resume

Web development has been my main occupation for over 16 years. During this time I have dealt with a wide range of cases, requirements, and technology stacks. Today I focus on eCommerce development with Adobe Commerce, while staying open to new technologies and choosing the best-fit stack for each project.
